Never Stop Dreaming

Here I sit with my cup of coffee within reach and my pad ready and waiting to be written on. So why am I not writing? Unfortunately I don't seem to have an idea in my head. What to do, what to do.
Well, I started looking at images on Pixabay. It is one of my go to places to go when I want to write but don't know what to write about. Sure enough as soon as I saw this image an idea rushed to mind.
I am a big believer in dreams and goals. I believe that first you dream about what you want or want to do and then set up goals to achieve your goal.
One of my favorite quotes is one by C. S. Lewis - "You are never to old to set another goal or dream another dream". It holds a lot of meaning for me because I have heard people say, I am too old to start that or do that. I don't ever want to think that I am too old to dream.
I believe that you are never to old to dream. As long as you are living there are so many possibilities out them, so many things you can obtain or achieve.
You are never too old, too poor, or too weak to dream. As long as you have a functioning brain, as long as you can think you can dream. It is what keeps me alive, what keeps me looking to the future.
So keep on dreaming, you never know which dreams will come true for you.

I am a big believer in setting goals. Small goals, large goals, no matter what I set goals for myself to keep me moving in the right direction! And you are so right about dreaming! We should never stop dreaming and setting a vision for how we want our life and our future to look like!

@HazySue Sounds like you are on the right path! I also have small short-term goals that point me in the right direction to achieving my big long-term goals. It always helps when you can break something big into smaller chunks to make it seem more reasonable to achieve!

@moffittjc I agree. It is something I taught my children and my students. If you start with too big of a goal you tend to get frustrated along the way.

That is beautiful, Susan. As long as we are alive, just keep dreaming, just keep swimming. We are never too old to do the things we want.

@HazySue I totally agree with you, Susan. And those goals are the ones worth doing for. We owe ourselves a lot.

This was just what I needed to read today. It seems as if my dreams have faded and now it's time to refocus and dream big!!

I dream the dream and then I go for it, if I fail at least I tried. If I make it, I check off another dream that came true.

@lnillerman That is wonderful. Dreaming and taking the steps to make them come true is very important.
