One of my goals this summer is to visit different restaurants and sample a variety of foods from different cultures. The plan is to visit one new restaurant every two weeks. What are some of the restaurants you would suggest and why? What are some of your favorite dishes from these restaurants?

Sounds good, I am not a big eater or you can say eat to stay alive so I eat whatever I get easily. I am afraid I have nothing much to suggest and I am also sure whatever I would suggest you won't be able to handle since it would be too spicy for you. All the best!

@ThinkGratitude I had been to US twice for short duration but never had the chance to eat chicken there but I have reasons to believe that you cook it in a different way. Probably like the way it's cooked in Australia where I work. But I am a vegetarian by choice for a long time.

I love food too, I am a true foodie. I like some spicy food, but not to spicy. I usually go for the milder spice foods. I love Mexican food it's my favorite.

@suni51 I enjoy curried chicken, it's tasty, but I am sure it's cooked differently here in the USA

I like Italian food best and not because I'm Italian but because it is the best. I also like Greek and Chinese.

Greek food, sounds intriguing. What are some of your favorite dishes? I like sweet and sour chicken in the Chinese food selection. I am sure that is just the American twist on it though.

@ThinkGratitude Two weeks ago I treated my 2 daughters and their families at this place and I had the chicken brochette, probably my favorite, but it's all good
Au Vieux Duluth, menu of the best Greek restaurant bring your own wine (BYOW) or beer in Quebec.

@1hopefulman Chicken brochette does sound good. Chicken sounds good any time.

I've eaten many cuisines from many cultures here in the US and in many foreign countries. I love everything - French, Thai, Italian, Turkish, South American, Mexican, Indian, Greek, Spanish, Chinese, and American foods. Can't choose one.

That sounds like a good plan. You must live in an area that has a lot of ethnic diversity. I don't go to restaurants very often.

Yes there is a lot of ethnic diversity in my area. I love it though, because I can learn a lot about different cultures.
