Why is dental insurance separate from major medical? I never have understood that... and then there's vision insurance which is even more rare!

I don't have any insurance. Dental insurance would have been nice last week when I had to spend $920 to get my wisdom teeth extracted.

This includes prescription, vision, chiropractic as well.
$11.95 or $19.95 a month.
This is supplemental and you can save up to 80%
No waiting period as well! We started a new insurance program and when my son needed 4 wisom teeth pulled we learned we had a waiting period, ouch. Thank goodness I started with ameriplan! We save a ton of $!

My husband's employer covers our medical insurance but we are without dental insurance. However, it works out just fine for us. We pay about $800 cash a year for our family of 4 to have exams and cleanings twice a year. That works out to about $16 a month per person. That's not too bad in the big picutre.
However, if we were without medical coverage, we would be in big-time debt.
