I like both of them, but I cook more than I bake

I am not much of a cook or a baker, although I do enjoy it from time to time though and I know how to make a few things.
I think the thing I have most recently had fun baking was a king cake for Mardi Gras (pictured, although that isn't the exact one I made).
When I am in the mood, I like to try out new recipes that I find that look interesting, and I have a special section in my genealogy project of any family recipes I find.

It actually turned out pretty good. Though it was a little time-consuming, it wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought it was going to be. We used the recipe from Haydel's bakery in New Orleans that they put online and actually got it to taste very similar to Haydel's!
Here's a picture of our finished product.

I like to do both. Not sure which one i would choose. If im not in the mood everyone knows because then food will be ordered LOL. I do get tired of doing the same thing all the time but its ok at times.

I remember when I used the line "cooking cake" and someone corrected me that it should be "baking"...
