A big mistake from a text book

Danish flag

My nephew is a kindergarten child. His sister is a grade 1 or 2 pupil. Yesterday my nephew found that his sister's text book had a big mistake about the Danish flag. Obviously the Danish flag shall be in red. What a big mistake from a text book and hard to believe that a little boy found it out. I wonder how they proofread it before it is published.

Mayb they need to hire your nephew! He is smarter than the one who published that book.

Unfortunate mistakes will happen sometimes. You can report to a publisher about this issue.

I observed that in my kid's text book. There are too many mistakes especially grammatical errors.

I see why sometimes our education is not so satisfactory.

That's a shame. I'm glad the little boy noticed the difference.

When he was little, he already knew many flags from different countries. But this is not the point, Denmark is still a familiar country to us and we shouldn't make such kind of mistake.

@youless Of course. I agree with you on that. My mom proofreads textbooks and she is keen on mistakes, at least as far as I know. But still, it gives the child a wrong idea of something.

I always think that the textbooks must be checked many times before they are published.

You are quite right. This is why I feel astonished that they even made such a stupid mistake.

Hats off to the kid. Here in India there is a deliberate attempt made to murder history.
