I tend to not watch most shows anymore or even movies like I used to due to the fact that time is not what it used to be, and that I am online for various things more often than near a TV set. But I have to tell you that if you were ever a fan of the Karate Kid during the 80's and ever wanted to see the what if's and maybe's come to life, THIS MONTH they published the return of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) under the name COBRA KAI.
I only planned to watch the first show of it, maybe the second, because of my time frame. But this was totally good. Too good. It was better than the movies even, and I wasn't able to be OK with not seeing the rest of the other shows that are out now. I tried Youtube Red for this alone for 30 days to watch the rest of it, and I may end up paying for it for this show alone. It's that good.
They even have never-before-seen footage of flashbacks with Pat Morita from footage from the first Karate Kid movie, Johnny actually is the good guy this time around, and you get to see why he became Cobra Kai when he was a kid. Way too cool, whether you're an 80's fan or you like this show, it does not disappoint! The script and the acting is unrestricted now and better than the first 3 movies!

I watch it on NETFLIX (where I hear it's their number-one show).
It's a bit of a 'teen-drama grown up' (like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or The CW's Arrowverse ), with its idea that 'the way to deal with conflict is to battle it down' or something (rather than "Turn the other cheek" and then just go away and "Be the change you long to see in the world."

Wow! That's nice to know. I love karate kids, especially Daniel Larusso
