Why are people so desperate for attention that they become internet trolls? (People who go online to bully people and cause problems)

I just had to report and block a troll on here. I think it's ridiculous we're here to share thoughts and opinions not to be rude and harass each other at least that's what I thought....

I feel that one thing is to give an opinion and quite another to say that all of those who differ are stupid. I have read posts like those lately and I once reported it.

I think a lot of people think that if someone has an opinion that differs from them and voices said opinion that they are being a bully.

@Ladybug8608 I have a feeling the instance that you are speaking of is not a true bullying situation. While I have seen a troll or two or hundred here they are usually dealt with pretty quickly. I haven't seen that much actual bullying. People get their feelings hit too easily.
