My dad introduced me to the music of Meat Loaf during about the early 2000's. I actually had a radio edit of "I Would Do Anything For Love" on a mixed CD, but hadn't heard anything else by him. As far as I know, my dad had been a fan since "Bat out of Hell" came out. The song that really sealed the deal for me was "Good Girls Go to Heaven" off of the "Bat out of Hell II" album. This may seem rather odd, but "I Would Do Anything For Love" is not my favorite song by him. It seems to be every other Meat Loaf's fan's favorite, and while I like it too, I just feel some of his other songs suit me better. Some of my favorites include: - Good Girls Go to Heaven (probably my #1 favorite by him) - The Monster is Loose - Everything Louder Than Everything Else - Prize Fight Lover - Elvis In Vegas - All of Me - Life Is a Lemon (And I Want My Money Back) (this is probably my mental breakdown song) - Another Day I am also really enjoying his latest album, "Braver Than We Are." I think my favorite song on that album is "Going All The Way," which is the title track of sorts. Are there any Meat Loaf fans here? If you're a fan of his, what are your favorite songs by him?

His Bat Out of Hell Album was very good! It spent over 500 weeks on the UK charts. Paradise by the Dashboard Light, Two out of Three Ain't Bad, and All Revved Up And No Place to Go are personal favorites. Produced by Todd Rundgren it was a classic rock and one of the best selling albums of the 70's.

I am a fan and have been since back in the Bat Out of Hell Days. Definitely one of my favorites. Some of my favorites Paradise By the Dashboard Light, You Took The Words Right Out of My Mouth, It's all Coming Back to Me and Good Girls Go to Heaven but I do love all of his music.

I thought you meant the food: meat loaf. Do not know the singer.

His real name is Michael Aday (it was originally Marvin but he legally changed it). Ironically, despite his stage name, he says he doesn't actually like to eat meat loaf!

I heard of him a long time ago, but was never a fan. I didn't know he was still around.

Yeah, he released a new album in late 2016, but hasn't done much since then music-wise although he remains pretty active on Facebook.

I remember when Bat Out of Hell was released. It was "the" album to have that year. I still listen to it, 40 years later. It's not a favorite in the way Silk Degrees is, but I still have it and still enjoy it. And he was marvelous in Rocky Horror Picture Show.
No one uploaded this scene onto Youtube yet, or at least not the scene itself. So I figured i'd do so. Enjoy! Note:Like the Mystery Men video I just recently...

Yes, he was great in Rocky Horror Picture Show -- fantastic performer! The first Bat out of Hell album came out before I was born, but I instantly loved his music from the first time I heard it, and I really enjoy that first installment as well.

I'm not a fan also. But I like "I would do anything for love". It was actually in the 90s that that song had it's worldwide fame, as it was internationally released.

Yes, that was definitely one of his biggest hits. I like the music video too. Good song!
