When Did U Get Your First Credit Card!!!???

Was in my sophomore year when I got my first card!! It wasn't long before i got another, Then another, Then another!!! Before U know it, i had 10!!!! Paid 'em all off, Then got ten more!!! And more R on the way!!!! I'm up to here in credit cards!!!! When did U get your first Credit Card????!!!!!!!!

How do you even exist without a credit card? LOL ...you have to have one to rent a car of stay the night in a hotel, or purchase an airline ticket.

I think I got my first one in 1970 and then I got two more and used credit the wrong way and I got into debt. Then I went to the bank and worked something out to get out of debt. It was then that I got rid of the other credit cards and kept only one and that's the only one I have had ever since.

@db20747 My parents' paid for my car insurance because they worked and I drove myself to and from school. They insisted I needed a car and to drive as they had to work. I paid for the essentials I needed with online earnings (survey sites then).

Why do you need so many credit cards?

I got my first credit card when I was in high school, I think I was either 16 or 17. It was an American Express card. I had to pay off the balance every month when the bill came in.

@db20747 No way! The made me pay every penny of that bill. If I ever came up short on money when the bill was due, they would loan me the money to pay it, but I had to pay them back with interest. It taught me a valuable lesson about spending, budgeting, and finances in general.
