After getting some chores done around the house this morning I decided I wanted to get out of the house for a little bit. It had been a little bit since I had been to the general store a few miles away. Its kind of a mash up of a general good store slash thrift store slash grocery store.
I didn't really know what I was looking for but since they usually have dvds and books in stock I was pretty sure I could find something. I was right. I didn't want to spend more than ten bucks which I actually stuck to.
I spent seven bucks even and got:
-View from the Top DVD
-300 DVD
-2 liter of Coke
-2 liter of Sprite
-20 oz Pepsi.
So I didn't do much thrifting but I did score two movies for a pretty good deal. I didn't end up buying any last night at Walmart which was unusual for me.
Any good deals for you today?

The Christina Applegate movie? Now you need 300 Rise of an Empire.

When I was in PA I did a bit of shopping at the local mall, and we ate at some local restaurants. The economy in my hometown is not too good, I like to help out where I can. However, I have to say, it seems like the motel and restaurant business is doing rather well there, The mall was fairly busy too..I have been in deader ones here in Virginia even on a weekend.

I don't really watch movies, but I got a good deal on some groceries over the weekend. There is a local market that has an outlet where they sell out of date and special buys. I found organic strawberries, 2 pounds for $3 and organic cottage cheese for 79 cents a tub! Oh, and some uncured paleo turkey bacon (I can't eat pork) for $2.99, which is great for that kind of bacon.

Nope. I had an Amazon order delivered in 4 different boxes on Tuesday which freaked my husband out. Half of it was cat food and dish detergent so I told him to just chill out. In fact only one thing was for me--face moisturizer. I forgot to even order the Margaritaville cookbook which was the reason why I went to Amazon in the 1st place on Sunday. haha
I am hoping to get some good deals on meat tomorrow at the grocery store.

I also believe in keeping our money in our country supporting our businesses here. I worked in aThrift Shop and I believe that one can find anything there they are looking for. I could not find some things other places and found what I needed at The Thrift Shop.
