Sites That Pay You To Write

I remember not too long ago, there seemed to be a pretty good variety of different sites that paid users to write. There was Gather, Triond, Associated Content (later Yahoo Contributor Network, I think), Bukisa, BubbleWS, etc. But now all of those sites are no more.
MyLot is still going strong which is great. But for those of you who get paid to write elsewhere, what are the names of some writing sites you're earning from?
I have looked into ExpertColumn (and have heard mixed reviews of it), and BitLanders (are they legit?), but was wondering if anyone knew of any others.
Thanks in advance!

Bubblews closed a long time ago, and expert column is just too much for me.

Yes, I remember them closing. Expert Column looks similar to how Triond was laid out. I have heard of some users being stuck just under the minimum payout amount and never reaching it after that, which sort of discourages me from trying it.

I'm with you! Part of the reason I came back was because I found out they were paying again!

You're so right about that! It's a shame.

@skydancer It really is a shame. It's too bad that so many closed.

It's interesting to see the sites which were legit in the past, we had the same concerns about them as you have about ExpertColumn! I think it is worth checking the site, there will always be mixed reactions!
I am not a member of ExpertColumn, but I can definitely suggest Medium.com, not sure if the partner program is available in your country. If it is available, you will be off for a great start!

HubPages, which diversified into more than two-dozen associated sites, is still going strong. It's not a place for casual posts, but requires magazine-type articles.

I blog at bitLanders since January 2015 and always paid. Now I blog at Steemit too.
bitLanders paid members Bitcoin but switched to PayPal and soon will pay Bitcoin (BTC) again and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Only SEO articles earn more there.
At Steemit we earn SBD and STEEM CryptoCurrency thru UPVOTES (likes) regardless of quality. I earned up to US$100 plus equivalent for one short post only.

Thanks! I'll definitely check out your article there - thank you for linking it! I had wondered about Bitlanders and Steemit!
