Mental Health issues

I think the world, in general should take mental health in people more seriously. I feel like the people who suffers from it very bad should have their cry out for help heard and not ignored because the illness itself can become too much for one person to handle. My personal experience with my mental issues at first i felt like whenever i try to people about what's going on with me mentally they want to throw up " oh everybody suffers from it get over it" they are being passive about that situation and i became more and more angry over the years cause i got tired of trying to get my cry out for help out and no one would listen except my mom and some family members. The other half of the family is passive and they don't see what's wrong with me but "I DO". Does anybody have good advice on how to deal with that?

I started having serious depression issues at age 13. But I never started getting the help that I needed until age 21, in part, because I didn't know how my family and friends would react if I were to tell them that I needed help for psychiatric issues. Fortunately for me, they were very supportive once I decided to tell them.

Some people and family members will never get it no matter what you tell them. Just do the best you can.
