A Heaven for Tonka

Sometimes I wonder to myself, "What ever happened to all those toys I lost as a kid?" That frisbee that was caught in a tree, and never came down. That ball I kicked onto the roof in elementary school. That lawn dart I got stuck in the roof of my neighbor's mobile home. All those baseballs lost in the woods. Those action figures I buried pretending to be a pirate. Are they still right where I left them? Did someone else find them and enjoy playing with them? Or were they thrown away? I like to imagine that they were recycled and unknown to me, used to make a product that I currently have in my home. (Tonka referring to one of the most popular toy car companies of my childhood. @mlgen1037 lol I use to do that! I was a small kid. My friends would ride around on their power wheels, and I would get so jealous. I was like "Oh yeah! Check this out. " And I would ride that little metal truck with my little chicken legs spread out in the air down the hill.

@redhotpogo Yes. But they were good ones. We could even seat on the back of that truck when we were little.

At this time of my life, I even have a list of lost items in my own grown up house. My house has been burglarized several times and each time I find missing items

@marguicha Ohhh. Okay. I'm thinking about becoming a reverse robber. I'm gonna sneak into people's houses and leave them stuff. Oh wait. That's Santa.

Had we room to save our favorites we could have presented them to our own children. Most of ours went into yard sales I'm sure, unless my sister, the collector has them all. I know for a surety that none are in heaven.

@redhotpogo well I doubt my sister has all unwanted toys. If she has any they would be ones we enjoyed.

I hope they were recycled or picked up by some kid to play with.... That's a lot of useful litter you left lying around, lol.

It would be nice to think someone else got some use from them. I haven't seen Tonka in many years.

I remember the Tonka trucks. Our boys had a couple which were their favourites for ages.
