My husband is and he's been going back and forth for a while now.
I don't regret that of course since that is for our best but sometimes when crisis come our way he can't be there for us.
He's not around for birthdays emergencies and we see him only for a few weeks like Christmas.
Yes we talk over Skype for hours everyday and yes we can have anything we want but still ..
You like your spouse to work far somewhere?

No, i never waant him to be away from us. We can live simply and comfortably here.
Hubby and our daughter told me when I came back from staying in Manila before, trying to find a caregiver employer in Canada to no avail, that they don't want to live abroad.l and they are contented with living simply.
I realized that's what is hjndering me to find an employer in Canada. They are praying that i won't find one.

Hi April. My brother used to work in the US for three years. His company sent him there.

@Peach10 That is nice. I am happy that they are there. My father insists that we all go abroad and not stay here anymore.

Here, we do have family members sometimes that work away or travel. My first husband did. I originally thought OFW was oil field worker.

@Peach10 my uncle comes home every three to six months. More often if he has client meetings here in Manila. My cousins about once a year, usually during the Chinese New Year when businesses and offices are closed in Singapore during the holidays.

I don't know how I would cope if my husband work overseas .. I feel so much for a lot of Filipino families whose spouse or children or parents work abroad .. It's good that you and your husband make sure that you are in touch everyday .. it is very important ..

@Peach10 I hope your husband don't have to work for a long time overseas so that your family can enjoy being together before the children grow up and start their own lives .. I wish your family the best .. be strong for one another and for the children ..

It's very hard being alone and missing your spouse. Not having him around and his close support can be very difficult.
