I come to a developing country. A lot of contribution towards population is made by poor community. Being unprofessional I take small steps to help poor people, but i want some large scale ideas to help them. What would you do to excavate poverty in your country?

Priority actions on poverty eradication include improving access to sustainable livelihood, entrepreneurial opportunities and productive resources, progressively developing social protection systems to support those who can't support themselves..

If every well to do person take responsibility of one poor person to educate, feed and to provide shelter which are very basic needs of all the humans, poverty can vanish away from each and every corner of the world

By stopping hand out and offering hand ups. Food drives, and giving clothes are all good things. But what the poor need is a home, transportation, and a job. Without those they will always be poor.

I feel that the first step will be to recognise that there is nothing you can do about where you give birth at, but there is something you can do to get yourself out of poverty.
A lot of people here are awaken, they came from the developing country. Instead of feeling sorry or give up on themselves, they choose to move on trying their best to get that extra income that will help them to progress in their life.

Hi Jizat. That is a tough question. I came from a developing country too. Usually, the answer to that is thru donations or giving money and so on. For me, I want to start with myself and how I will eradicate myself from that poverty. You may not agree with me but I guess it will start with the mindset. Welcome to mylot. Enjoy!

@Jismat Always a pleasure, Jizat. I do not believe in relying on the government if I myself cannot even do something for myself.

I think you should start with education.
Educate them to know the important thing of living in peace, of hard working, and of creativity.
