Retired person and Small family

I'm a retired person.I'm maintaining my livelihood by my small savings. As I had a private job I get no monthly pension. I got lump sum money from the employer at the time of my retirement. That was not a big amount. Now my income is interest money from the bank. But the interest rate is very low. But the price of daily necessaries are increasing with galloping speed. It is very difficult to cope with the situation. Thank God that I have a microscopic family. I live with my wife only. My only daughter lives with her husband. So a small family is very important for a man like me.

I know that you enjoyed your working days at the newspaper and you were happy to get a lump sum for your retirement. It is amazing that you manage to afford to get your wife medical treatment when she needs this. Your daughter is married and no longer lives with you. In England the interest rate is low and it is hard to find high interest accounts. The best ones are regular saving accounts at around 5% and current accounts which have a few rules. Good luck my friend.

Yes I got a lump sum money for my retirement. The employer cheated me and did not give me required money which I deserve. However I had some savings and I managed the money for my wife's medical treatment. It is appreciable that the UK government gives some social benefits for the citizens. Thanks my dear friend.

I am glad you were able to cope up with such money matter. I believe there is no greater happiness than the love between you and your wife.
