Should babies sleep in their room or with their parents

Some people prefer to place their babies in a separate room for various reasons , may for privacy or for the baby to learn to sleep alone. As a mother, I prefer my baby sleeping in my room on her bed and sometimes on same bed cause she would wake up as many times for breastfeeding, mother's tuch and many more. Is it advisable that I let her sleep in her room and at what stage

I kept them in my room until about two. Like you said, it made nursing them so much easier!

@Mikky88 I felt more at ease with a bassinet! I wanted one like the hospital used! haha. once they can walk around on their own it seemed all started in their bed but by 5am they were sleeping in mine!

Don't you think it's really stressful? Waking up and going to check them in their room

Till my children were 2 years, they slept with us in our room on a separate bed and sometimes on the same bed when they were sick or needed more attention during teething and all. After two, I shifted them in a separate room. By two they have their body rhythms and sleep wake in pattern and need less monitoring during night.

My babies slept with me a lot. But the youngest one wouldn’t sleep by himself until he started going to school!

I like the thought of mommy (and daddy) near.
