My pets name is Milo but he gets called Miles so much it is like a second name. Lately i have entertained myself by calling him Bcup. Short for buttercup.. Does your pet have a nick?

Yes we did with our last dog, RJ. He was named after our first dog, Rambo.

I am pretty sure the cat would answer to Miles but he is pretty tuned in to his real name and of course kitty.

The horses at the endurance rides all have very fancy stud names but all have shorter 'friendlier' nicknames too.

They probably react to their nicknames.

@JudyEv Yes, some of the dogs here registered with the American Kennel Club have long names as well, and shorter everyday names.

@snowy22315 Animals soon learn short names but the long fang-dangled ones are just for show.

Yes my dog does have a nickname. Her name is Bella, but sometimes I call her moosie moose since she is so big but thinks she is little. Other times I call her Beller although I am not sure why.
