I think my old flip phone is starting to malfunction. It doesnt want to turn the display screen off when I close it.
Today I started to ask my carrier questions, since it's been a long time since i've
bought a new one. I must admit, I felt overwhelmed. I have an idea as to what I
want, but the prices is the one thing that is making me wince at purchasing one.
I'm going to look into some options and see which one I feel comfortable with. So hopefully I can convince myself to buy one on saturday and be smarter.
I don't want to be like E.T., phoneless. Not able to call home.

I think it's high time you go smartphone, you would see how technology has changed a lot and the many convenient and cool things that could be done with it, it's comparable to flying turbo prop then learning how to fly a fighter jet.
There are cheap ones now but of course you get what you pay for in terms of features, good luck on your choice.

@Plethos it's not just about social media, it's like having the desktop or laptop in your pocket in a way so it's also about making money if you have to work online or simply finish things when you already want to lie down or move to another place.
Apps are also a whole new experience, you can get an app or apps that suits your personality or what you want to do, trust me, if you learn it you would never want to go back to that old phone again.

Uhm... are you serious? You really only own a flip phone?
You know I sell phones for a living, right? If you have questions, I will answer them for you, if you still need answers...
(Not a joke. I'd be happy to help you.)

@Plethos (smiling at you) Yes, that first step is a lulu, right?
You know all those apps that were on your phone when you bought it? You can't delete them, but you can shut down all the ones you don't (and will probably never) use. I even shut down cloud service on my phone.
I know why companies want us to use the cloud to store our pictures and videos on, but you shouldn't need it. (What size internal memory does your phone have? And did you add extra storage yet?)

I hope you get what you want, some of the prices are out of this world. Good to see ET again.

We are spoilt for choice, but leading makes are just too pricey.
Even reconditioned phones are available but it can play us out.
When I had to buy one, I went for the cheapest iPhone - iPhone SE.
With the basic plan, I got it less $100 - siva
