...who among your ex loves would you rather give a second chance at romance?" a friend once asked me. And for some reason, I felt this sudden surge of teen-like giddiness, coupled with a warm flush rushing to my cheeks. Suddenly, I remember this guy from college. We both truly admired each other but I was from a conservative family and was not allowed to date especially while still a student, so I had to dump him. We then grew apart but I don't think the admiration ever died, at least on my part. He is now married with kids, and I am with my partner. I am most certain of my love for my present partner but maybe it's true that first love never dies. Don't get me wrong, I am not planning on wrecking his family or mine because of some teenage infatuation. I'm just saying that if there was someone from my past, if I could turn back the hands of time, I would pick him. Was there a very special someone in your past that definitely just can't be your present?
