Just moments ago I have tried withdrawing my Paypal money to my gcash account and almost instantly, the transaction was successful! Very easy and convenient way of withdrawing my online earnings How about you? How do you cash out your online earnings?

That's nice! I would like to ask... is there a fee when transferring money from PayPal to GCash? It's been a long time since I last transferred money from PayPal. Back then, it was to my Unionbank account (eon). And I remember, I waited for my PayPal balance to reach at least 7k because that way the transfer will have no fee anymore. But my eon is now expired. :( So I don't really know yet how I'm going to withdraw the rest of my money... Would you know if transfers could also be made to Smart Money or PayMaya?

@hereandthere Hmm... I guess I should go to the branch and ask them. Another thing I don't like about my Unionbank is that they don't have a branch close to me. So I opened my account in the city, an hour or so away from me, and I don't go there very often anymore. :(

it wasn't an issue before. i was still able to transfer and withdraw money even with an expired eon card. but now, not anymore because your atm has to have the emv chip now. the old one will not be recognized by that atm. maybe you can go to the branch where you opened your account and withdraw over the counter, though you have to pay a fee. or you can renew/upgrade your card to the new one with emv chip. did you not receive a letter or email from unionbank? or maybe you can use your paypal money for online transactions only.

@renicemae I think there is no fee in linking gcash to PayPal you just need to have at least 150 pesos balance in your Gcash account.

Yeah. Though there's a small fee from linking paypal to gcash, it's still okay. I guess theres no fee when cashing out to from paypal to gcash. I didn't notice any additional deduction.

I think Gcash is for Philippines only. I tried linking my bank account to Gcash but status is still "checking" until now. It's been couple of months already.

@renicemae I also use PayPal for my various purchases rather than chance someone managing to get my debit card number. I am much more comfortable with paying that way because I know that PayPal is honest and they are trustworthy. Plus it's easier than entering my debit card number time after time.

That is good! I normally let my paypal money stay in there unless I need it and then I put it in my bank.

I'm a bit odd I guess, I am not using my earnings here on the Lot for day to day living, they're going for things to help rebuild my business after the fire. The last cash out went for bear patterns through Ebay. I'm still debating the rebuilding of my business...

I see. That's good. This was the first time I withdraw my paypal earnings. Most of the time, I get to spend it in paying stuffs online like when we reset our printer.

Yes dear. Gcash is pretty useful. It's connected to a number of stores in the Philippines too so you can use your money in gcash in paying stuffs in the mall. Like in groceries..for gassing up..loading your phone etc.
