This photo is Mt. Makiling found in Calamba City,.Philippines. It is also called Sleeping Beauty., one of the many tourist spots in our country.
Legend says that Maria Makiling lived in this place and took care of the forest. and all animals there. She was a kind lady who loves even the folks who stepped in the forest. But she got broken hearted when she fell in love with a hunter and never came back for her
As you see the mountain, her body lies on top of it.
Image from google.
I have seen this myself when we went mountain climbing here.in this place..
Do you see her?

when i had my post-graduate training in Batanes in 1981, we went to Batanes. Sabtang island boasted of the sleeping beauty mountain and it was a sleeping lady, hair flowing down, her profile perfect, arms at rest on her bosom, and feet up in a trendelenberg position. (feet up). now, the shape of the mountain has changed tremendously, and what appeared as the hair, face and legs of the lady became the forehead. the profile of the lady is so distinct

@Peach10 I see that is an adventure then. Cause there are also some folktales about trekking or climbing there. Where in groups can get lost while enjoying the nature and all of a sudden they will not find there way out until they wear their clothes backwards.
