Hello .Philippine Independence day is coming June 12.. I know there will be parades on that day everywhere, especially in Manila
Our city would be celebrating it with a parade
But I noticed that this day is not. much celebrated by families unlike All Saint's Day and All Souls Day.(Nov.1 & 2) ., Christmas and New Year.
What do you think? How do you celebrate
Philippine Independence Day?

I will just stay home,
I think it's a special non-working holiday, so I don't have work at that day.

We always hang a Philippine flag in our home, in the windows in our old house in Manila and now in my office at my present residence in Las Pinas city, its a family tradition dating from since I can remember, probably from my grandfather's or great grandfather's time so I see to it that the tradition is continued and not forgotten, I teach it to my children, even the proper folding of our flag.

Sad but true. Honestly, I don't celebrate it. I am just happy that the calendar date is red.

@Peach10 Schools and government institutions are the ones who actively participated during that day I think.

It is a holiday that people will look forward to because of the extra pay that one gets if he/she reports for work or it is an extra day of rest.

we will hang the Philippine flag outside in our veranda.
June 12 is a memorable day for us because that was the day when i brought my mother to the hospital; she left us at dawn of June 13, 2009.

I know there are parade for that day and you know what... I think there will be a parade against it or a rally or protest parade against the present Administration on some other issues...rather stay home safe and watch TV...and eat...eat...eat...
