Good afternoon
Well the Eagles team was invited to the White House
Not many players wanted to come so he cancelled this.
First I am ashamed of this.I am not a Trump fan but do understand what the Eagles are doing. Is it right not for me.Stand up when the Anthem is playing.
what so hard about this?
I myself would been very honor to be invited to the White House.
I have to agreed on this..I would have done the same.
They should be very proud.I know they are some served in the US service.
Please no backlash

I completely agree. The truth is that 40 out of 50 people said they weren't going, and that wasn't "news."
I'm sure that there are people who've gone to the White House as part of a winning team who didn't agree with the politics of the president but they didn't make an issue of it. It's just another example of how divided this country is now.

Only one Eagle took a knee last year, but most of them were vocal about people being able to make a choice between standing or kneeling, and we know Trump is adamant about standing. I believe they should all stand. However, when it comes down to it only about ten players were going to go to the White House, and I think Trump didn't want to answer questions about the obviously missing players. Nobody wants to be embarrassed.
I hate that the flag has been dragged into this. And it makes me sad anyone would feel the need to kneel.

Wow. I agree with you. Even if a person doesn't particularly like the current administration - shouldn't lead to disrespect of the country it serves

People should give respect to where respect is due anywhere they are and even if their opinion differs, voicing out of dissenting opinion should be done elsewhere in a proper forum or venue

In a few years I would love to be invited to the White House. Right now? No thank you.

You are so right. I was not a fan at ALL of Obama. Worst president in history, and I thought that title could never be taken away from Carter. Either way it is the OFFICE. Not the man who sits in it. And if I'd have been called to the White House no matter WHO was in it, I'd have gone. That is what a patriot does.

Hi Alfredo. That is just sad. As a sign of respect at least for the country.

with so much opposition it seems almost like our people are trying to start a civil war over the difference in parties in politics.

I understand what you are saying. I am not a Trump fan and I have no desire to ever meet him. Trump has a way of letting all dark skined people that they are not important and should move back to their own country. ( even if they have lived here forever.) That bothers me every time I see it happening and its too often to be "normal". The players are making a statement and its all about racial injustice. I personally think that is a good reason.
