Can you spot the ghost in this picture? Do you believe in ghosts?

When I was fixing my lamp the other day, I noticed that the shade was starting to separate on the edge that was glued. Another project!
I used my quick drying guitar super glue to fix it, and taped it with the same blue tape I used to reattach the binding on my Martin D-18 guitar.
When I photographed my work, I noticed immediately that something wasn't right in the photo. The pretty light wood framing around my bathroom door, just to the left of the lamp? It does not exist!
I have gone back and tried to recreate such a view, but I cannot. Are the spirits trying to tell me something? Do you believe in ghosts? Have you seen things in your photographs that "don't look right"?

LOL I don't think the spirits are trying to tell you anything in this photo. I've looked closely and it looks to be just a shadow from the light and it could have something to do with the angle you took the photo, as well as the type of camera used to shoot the photo. And images are extremely difficult to recreate perfectly(I've taken photography classes). I suggest you provide more images, because it's pretty difficult to come to a conclusion with only one reference. C; Other than that, it only looks like a shadow.

Maybe a trick of the light? I have heard that is you take random photos in a cemetery at night, that ghosts appear, never tried it though.

@TheHorse I didn't realize that "THAT" was what you were referring to. That is kind of odd!!

So, is there no wood framing the door at all, or are you saying it isn't that light color?

Are you familiar with stone tape theory? Well here is a short, simple explanation: Assuming it's not just a trick of the light, it could be that your camera has caught a memory of something that may have been in the past
Proposed in the 1970s as a possible explanation for ghosts. The Stone Tape Theory speculates that inanimate materials can absorb energy from living beings. In other words a ‘recording’ or track is laid down during moments of high tension, such as murder. T

@TheHorse Actually music is kind of one of his professions. He founded a record label and is a lecturer of music culture among other things.
Here he is! Skip to about 5:16 in the video. The first part is just him watching something. Warning: some lady is screaming at the beginning

I believe in ghosts and I believe in the existence of the supernatural. I have had my own experience which was confirmed by the people around me as well as I wasn't alone during that time.

@TheHorse Used to live in a rental and me and my family just arrived in the house after grocery shopping and we brought our house maid with us. Upon arriving I went directly to the toilet but I heard our maid's name from the inside saying she's in there. But when I went to the kitchen to unpack our grocery, she was right there. So I asked if she was in the toilet and she said no. I asked the rest of the women in the house and they said they weren't there. My mother and sister-in-law also heard the voice coming from the toilet and we just all laughed it off.
Second time was when we moved into our new house. It was a townhouse actually and we were the first four people who moved in and the house on our right side was empty. One evening my husband suddenly entered the room and asked if I was humming a tune and I said no because I was busy talking to a friend on the phone. He said he heard me from the other room. Then at midnight while I was mylotting, I suddenly heard a woman humming a lullaby. I stopped typing and listened intently. It was coming from the wall attached to the next door neighbour's unit. So I pressed my ears next to that wall and clearly it was someone humming a lullaby. That unit was empty. I tried to wake my husband up telling him I now heard what he heard earlier and I closed my laptop and went to bed directly .

I cannot say if the picture has anything in it because I dont have another to compare it to, but I do believe and that is why I have a house that is not rented and I keep repairing, my old home place is very haunted. I would move back but I am always sad when I am there because my dad lived next door and he is not there anymore.

I believe in ghosts, I talk to ghosts, and I see the ghost in your photo.
Side note: What the heck happened to that lamp?! I'd like to hear the story behind it. Like how it got injured in the first place.

@TheHorse Got it. I melted a desk lamp once from Target. It's called: Not paying too much attention to the warning label saying not to use anything above 40 watts.

I never know exactly how to answer this question. Because I believe I have had experiences with ghosts or spirits.
How old is your building.

@TheHorse then there's probably a chance something or someone is hanging around. Do you know anything about the history of the area.
