Though i have never played it but i know Video games are one of the most popular and widespread ways for realizing personality and expressing the character. Its a realization in the virtual world that may stimulate a person to further self-development. Some of my friends also like to play it everyday. I don't know why but it excites them. Its also true that it helps us to enjoy ourselves during recession and economically contributes to several countries income but I don't understand how can it be an addiction when nothing is reality? Is there any other reason..?

@prakashj256 That's too bad. Try searching for flash games over the internet. There's lots of them out there. They count as video games too

I think it feels an intensity among the players as soon as they see it. Many says that the sound and graphics are mostly addictive during play. That's why they love it.

Yes it can become addictive if not kept under a self control. I have heard of teenagers who had to undergo counselling and therapy sessions to overcome it and come back to normalcy.

At times video games become addictive but it completely depends on us whether to make them addictive. We decide how much time to give.
