What mental exercises do you do?

Mental exercises help us to think faster, learn more and forget less They challenge our memory, focus and concentration. To avoid being forgetful and other mental issues as we grow older, we need to do mental exercises such as reading, writing, puzzling, analyzing, and problem-solving. What I do are reading books and solve crossword or Soduko puzzles. Sometimes I'm able to finish them without cheating, lol, but sometimes I only finish half. I also try to do simple maths without automatically reaching for the calculator, well, sometimes. :) What do you do for mental exercises?

Recently, I am hooked in word games. I have Word Crossy , Wordscape and the latest Languinis. All are addictive because they are so enjoyable and challenges my brain so much.

@neelia_lyn Yes, you look for them at Playstore. Tell me about it when you try them. Languini is a bit difficult. You will be challenged a lot.

To make our mind sharp, fast, unforgettable etc, we should have to give a conscious rest to our mind and it is possible by the way of meditation.

I sometimes do crosswords and maths puzzles but I don't particularly find them enjoyable. I get frustrated very easily if the answer is hard to find.

@simplfred Someone once told me that if I'm feeling depressed, I'll write all the reasons why and everything that makes me depressed on paper and then I'll feel better. I think it did help. And writing in the form of poetry is a great way to do that.

@neelia_lyn Yeah, I think so. It helps me a lot especially when I am so down and depress. Somehow writing my feeling into a piece paper miraculously help.
