I have had a busy day so far. It is the first official day out of school for the kids. I wanted to keep them busy and entertained. I also wanted to include school work for them. It is so important for the twins because they are so far behind. They only know 14 letters from the alphabet and I want to catch them up before school starts back.
4 am Got Keith up for work and made his lunch.
5 am Me Time- watched Fear the Walking Dead that I recorded last night.
6 am Started working on my Wealthy Affiliate site and other online sites such as MyPoints, SendEarnings, Swagbucks and my survey sites.
8 am Kids up and got them dressed and fed. Meds given and teeth brushed, faced washed, etc.
9 am started my first load of laundry for the day. Got chicken out of the freezer for supper tonight. Small chores around the house. Kids made their beds.
10 am MyLot and email.
11 am Kids school work. Adam and Elijah concentrated on the letter D today, the Oval shape, the number 1 and a fun coloring worksheet to keep them interested. Lil Keith worked on some 3rd grade spelling words ( he is officially a 3rd grader now) some multiplication problems and some money counting problems.
12:30 pm A quick lunch of pizza rolls and carrot sticks with apples and then back to finish school work.
1:15 pm Lil Keith fed Sandy and went to his friend Bethany's house. I got back here on MyLot. The twins are running wild. I have threatened them with a nap. It is thundering so they cannot go outside. Second load of laundry in washer and first in dryer.
3 pm- I will start supper we are having Sweet Cajun BBQ chicken with rice and broccoli tonight. After I get the chicken in the oven I will start on the breakfast dishes and do odd chores around the kitchen while I cook. I want to have the meal on the table and the kids fed before their Speech Therapist arrives at 5:15.
6:30 After ST leaves, I will do dishes and sweep up kitchen.
7 pm to 8 pm kids baths and they will have to clean their room. We will also read a book together.
9 pm fold clothes while watching tv.
10 pm Diary Keeping and Decorate my weekly planner layout.
After all of that is done, I still have to get the kids lesson plan for tomorrow done. I have to make copies of their workbook pages and write up their progress report for today. I might wait on the lesson plan and do that during my downtime tomorrow morning from 5 to 8. I will just write up their progress report today while it is all still fresh in my mind.
At some point in time I will take a shower and fall to bed exhausted. It has been one busy day and its not even half way over yet!
How has your Monday been?

@porwestI got nearly all of it accomplished. The diary keeping and the planner decorating along with one basket of clothes did not get completely done.

@Shellyann36 You made a great effort. In the end that is all that matters, right?

@ridingbet I wouldn't go so far as to put the tag enjoy on the cleaning tasks.

Wow lady, you are quite busy! I am off to work soon. Once out I have to go to Walmart and Aldi to get a few items. Then pick up Little Miss and we are going to the park with her mother. Going to be a glorious day!

My goodness that was a busy day. I did surveys while watching the early morning news, started dishwasher, went to swim class, cooked lunch and worked on some surveys, folded laundry and put in another load, picked up grandson Jack at school, went to Ikea with my daughter and then it was off to watch TV in bed.

@DianneN the twins are behind at school. They have an IEP. They only know 14 of the letters in the alphabet without help. I am trying to assure that they keep those in their heads and learn more before next year.

You have your hands full. One school I worked in the second and maybe the third grade students counted coins to equal the date. Like twenty seven could be a quarter and two pennies or two dimes, a nickel and two pennies. Do you do any tactile learning on the letters with the twins? I have tons of ideas, but you are probably good.

That's a great idea to continue to teach the twins over the summer so they get caught up and don't fall any further behind. When my daughter was small we did workbooks and things at home all the time as she would get so bored over the summer and grumpy if she wasn't kept busy constantly. She loved learning.

My Monday was ok. I watched The Red Turtle and an episode of Into the Badlands. I read some and colored some. Today I went to get the mail and I hope to go to look at some couches later.

Very hot to start of with so that makes you feel tired before you have even started.
That is a lot to fit into one day no wonder you feel tired also.

Because I am old, my day is exactly what I want it to be. Enjoy those children that make your days hectic because before you know it they will be on their own. I will admit now that my children are adults that when they were little and living at home, I enjoyed most of the time the craziness of motherhood. Now I don't miss them but enjoy their visiting me whenever they want too.

That's quite a schedule for today. I thought Friday was our last day of school, but it was today because we had a snow day the kids had to make up - the April 3-day Blizzard. So tomorrow is their first official day of summer vacation.
Your supper sounds good. I hope they can catch up with their schoolwork before school starts in the fall.
