Love yourself

A coworker actually said out loud this morning, "I already told my boyfriend that he better be prepared to give me a mommy makeover after I'm done having kids, or they're not happening."
What happened to loving our bodies the way they are? Babies change our bodies. Those stretch marks mean something. Give yourself a break and don't be so shallow.

I kinda understand why they, and others wouldn't (and don't) like their bodies after having kids. But it's part of having those children.. that they wanted.. and love.. and they shouldn't be ashamed or mad about the aftermath, especially when they can exercise and try to get their bodies back.

You are so right! My body is filled with scars, stretch marks, bruises and so much more. I earned each and every one of the scars from either hard work, dumb accidents, or surgeries to repair injuries from the dumb accidents. I finally stopped worrying about "dressing" to go to town and now dress where I am comfortable. I used to do the whole route, panty hose, skirt, fancy blouse, handbag to match the outfit, make up and so much more. I'm too busy living my life to worry about how I look, either accept me for what I am on the inside or don't bother me with your ways of dressing and dealing with how you look day to day. There is so much more going on in the world that appearance shouldn't be number one on the list....things like homelessness, hunger, hatered and so much more. It makes me feel so much better being able to help out a homeless person than buying a new outfit. Get real people and look beyond othe outside and quit being shallow.
