The J Geils Band were big at one time with their r&b flavored rock turned mainstream pop. Formed in 1968 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the band was by J Geils and lead singer Peter Wolf who was once married to movie star Faye Dunaway. Wolf exited in 1983 at the peak of their popularity and the band could not survive without him breaking up in 1985. There were reunions until Geils’ death in 2017. “A table top dancer She would smile on cue Those lips of an angel Angel in blue” From the blockbuster album “Freeze frame,” “Angel in Blue” was written by keyboardist Seth Justman who also wrote “Centerfold.” Luther Vandross and Cissy Houston provided backing vocals. The slow rocker went to Billboard #40 and not as lively as their bigger hits.
From the Freeze Frame album....The beginning is clipped off.sorry I did not record it I just uploaded it.

Wow, that was great reminds me of a club, I use to go to during the hippie movement. It rocked.
