I never sent a note to any Attorney-General before

But I did today. Jeff Sessions is defending the Trump administration's zero tolerance policy on illegal immigrants. This is the policy which has separated nearly 2000 kids from small babies to teens from their parents and put these kids behind chain link fences with inadequate facilities and not enough trained staff to care for them. I told Sessions that the current policy sounded like something the Third Reich would have dreamed up and that it is barbaric to separate children from their parents. When a US Senator is denied access to a facility where these kids are housed, their is something very wrong. Stephen Colbert got it right~
Don’t throw Bible quotes out there unless you’re ready for Colbert to throw them back at you.

There is something wrong when you take kids from their parents. Just send them all back.

But if they are fleeing gang violence or domestic violence, that is not fair. Remember "Give me your tired, your poor?"

Very well said James, those are Third Reich methods and I hoped never to see them again. Mr. Trump should remember that his grandfather was an immigrant. Frederick Trump emigrated to the United States from Germany at the age of 16 and started working as a barber. If they would have thrown him out at those time, he would not be the president of the United States now.

@LadyDuck Funny thing, Anna, I write about olives and get 46 responses then I write about something that matters and won't get ten.

Forcibly ripping an infant from the arms of its mother is one of the most barbaric, cruel, inhumane, disgusting, and evil things anyone can do. How can any American look the other way as our current government does this? With this current administration it is getting ever harder to be proud to be an American. White supremacy and fascism are spreading like the plague in America today. Why is the Pope and other world religious leaders not speaking up about this horrific crime against humanity? America has lost its conscience.

Good for you! Sending messages to your Senators and House reps would probably have more effect, though.

My rep and my senators are on it already. Jeff Merkley is raising cain about this. I wanted to nail Sessions, not that he'll ever see it. But if his office gets enough heat they have to pay attention. Check out Colbert criticizing Sessions for using the Bible. It is online.

I'm very proud of you! It is horrible and I'm going to write to our senators, state reps, and congresswoman.
