Have You Ever Got Your Smartphone Stolen and then Someone Made a Gmail Email on It Afterwards?

My smartphone got stolen in a crowded area late last year because of my mistake. Never got it back at all. The thief really has a thick face and he admits it. He changed the contact name for my email into Makapal Talaga meaning Really Thick-faced. I have disconnected the new email he created from my Google accounts. The first time he did it I disconnected the device from my Google accounts immediately but then today I get notified he made a new Gmail email! WTH? Yes I already contacted Google about it earlier. I mean why do I still get notified when the device should have already been disconnected right? I even changed all my passwords on all my accounts (everything) and yet he can still do what he's doing? My smartphone thief is really not smart at all. What would you feel and think if this happened to you and your stolen smartphone?

Have you informed the police? You should call your provider and block the SIM card of your phone.

I got the phone number back from my provider but informing the police is the next step indeed.

@owstalaga I think it's better, so you are protected, just in case he makes scam calls.

I've never had a lost or stolen phone, thankfully. But would be pissed if someone stole mine, and made accounts and stuff on it. Hope he gets caught and what not.
