I want to quit my job and I am tired doing it. But I cannot really stop working because I am the breadwinner of my family but I am so so tired. I still want to work but I want one that doesn't stress me out so much. What should I do guys?

I can understand..but try to search for other job that you like ..don't quit job until you get one..As you are the main earner there is no other option for you..also try freelance sites online

Yes I keep finding but most of the freelance work doesn't pay much. I have 6 members of the family to feed.

You cannot quit until you have another job lined up.

@12014147 I hate to say this but do not quit it till you have another job to replace it that you do think you will like.

Do not resign first on your current job. Look for a job that you want and get hired first before you quit your job. Or otherwise get a sideline or online job

Think about it seriously first. It's not easy to find work these days. For every position there are so many applicants and every year thousands graduate from college and join the thousands others seeking work.

It is true that after certain period some job becomes monotonous. If there is other reason than do not leave this job until you get a good one.

@12014147 My suggestion is, before quitting your current job find out another one that is more suitable for you.Till then try to take interest in your current job.

I think that first you need to be sure that you're leaving to a better workplace than this one.

Hi Crimson. Welcome to mylot. Enjoy. Find another job first before you quit your job. Goodluck.

Don't push yourself to something that will eventually break you - physically and mentally. So, if I were you, I'll quit BUT JUST after I find another job to replace the current one. :)

Hi Crimson. It's a tough position to be in when you want out. You've been given very good advice from the myLot team. Let me offer another suggestion: Don't burn your bridges behind you. This is something that my father always used to say. It's been a long time since I heard him make the statement but it is one I will always remember. Basically what it means is that when you eventually leave your job, leave on good terms. You never know what may happen down the road. You may go back or end up working with a former colleague. Paths have a way of crossing again so try to stay on friendly terms. If nothing else, it will help to make the transition smoother and less stressful.

Quit only *after* you've found a more satisfying job.

I would look for a new job on your days off, find something you would really enjoy and when you find it, quit the one you are at now. A job isn't worth having unless you enjoy what you do.

If you think this job is stressing you out, quit. Because your health will be compromised by it. I experienced this before so I know the feeling. You should take some time too before applying for a new job, to rest and feel fresh for a new job someday.

I think so too. But there's no time to rest. My sisters pay tuition and miscellaneous almost every month. Once I quit, they can't continue studying in College.

@12014147 Well, if that is your choice then just go with the flow and be friends with your co-worker instead.
