I love this movie. It's about an assassination of a Governor planned by her husband. Johnny Depp as the lead role was the fall guy who would do it .He couldn"t but they were holding his little daughter as hostage.
He tried to find a way to get help and the only person that he was left with was the shoe shine man in the hotel.They had to tell the Governor herself about the planned assassination on her life, but she didn't believe it coz it was about her husband.
Johnny had to do it coz her little daughter was at stake. But at the nick of time at the convention, at her last speech, he was about to shoot her, but instead, he shot the man who was aiming at the Governor..
Very thrilling movie. You should watch it He was suppose to be the fall guy but turned out a hero.
And people who planned this were put to justice.

i enjoyed watching this movie, so suspenseful that even though i have watched it several times, i still get palpitations due to excitement and anxiety with the scenes.

@Peach10 Dep was still young but he played it well. i like the twists and turns of that movie, even the main antagonist, Christopher Walken.

@ridingbet Oh yes, it was well planned and he couldn't find the right person until that old shoe shine man heard the truth from Christopher Walken. I really love that movie not because of Depp but the story is just so thrilling.

@Peach10 Yes, I was in college when I saw it. It was in 1995 and I've seen it several times on cable tv.

look like its a nice movie as i not much seeing English movie but Johny deep is a good actor and i like his pirates of carabian a lot.
