So the final day of the World Cup group games and less about VAR and more about teams paying not to get booked. England played Belgium to decide the winner of the group. The winner would have the harder route from the quarter fianal onwards. Both sides rested their best players and Belgium won 1-0 to win the group. They will play Japan and England will play the coke heads Columbia. Tunisia beat Panama in the dead game.
In the other group Columbia beat Senegal 1-0 to win the group but Senegal lost out on the fair play rule so not to qualify when finishing level second after Poland beat Japan 1-0 but Japan going through. Japan knew if they lost 1-0 but picked up no more yellow cards and Columbia stayed 1-0 up they were through Poland and Japans game just ground to a halt as both sides were happy with the result and wandered around the park doing nothing. It looked bad but thats the way it goes.

So it was a sort of a fix? These things still happen even after strict FIFA rules.
A good update on the World cup.
