Whats App has taken the 'juice' out of Face Book

I see a huge change in Face Book in that not many get there to like or comment. Not many update their wall and I attribute that to Whats App a place where you get to upload loads of 'fun'. There is free voice mail too or even one can have a chat for free.
I have stopped going to Face Book and no I do not have a Whats App account. What I detest the most in Whats App is there are groups and when family forms those groups it is upsetting that all family is not included and this goes for friends as well.

Not all have whatsapp so it is better to use Messenger. I like whatsapp though.

@mlgen1037 It is quite disturbing that even neighbours do that They do not talk across the compound wall but interact on FB

@allknowing I am not active in FB much since I am here and doing my work. But still nice to stay in touch with people in the real world.

@allknowing I heard of it, but didn't know that it linked to FB. Thought it had something to do with free text messages via phones.

I have lost many real contacts on account of this virtual world. I am seriously thinking of getting my contacts back.

I have a Facebook and WhatsApp account though I hardly post anything. In my field of profession, it's an advantage to have a Facebook account. I don't overdo my stay, though, and I hardly post anything but I follow some great Facebook Pages and I learn from them, plus, it's a great way to see how friends are doing. I use WhatsApp to stay in contact with my loved ones, though, I don't join in group chats. (hehe) It's really a better messenger platform for me than others.

Face Book does have some advantages as you have rightly pointed out. My emphasis is more on relationships which have taken a beating in that most rush to Whats App where they get free phone calls and free uploading of videos and stuff.

@allknowing I do agree that it's not ideal for people to communicate only via phone calls. Human interaction is much more important than using these sorts of medium, of course. Relationships really took a beating because of these platforms and there are lots of disadvantages and advantages of it also. But sometimes, it could be the only medium of communication between two people living far from each other, so I'm neutral about it. But if it's up to me, I'd rather spend much better quality time with the live presence of our loved ones.

@GopherDanny The sad part is where family has access to each other they prefer to interact virtually
