It's the same where I am. It is 88F inside my apartment plus the humidity which makes it even warmer. It's worse outside.

@itslikethistome Yes, there are many ways to keep cool in the summer heat. I wish we could save it the heat for winter.

Oooooooh my goodness Hope please try and stay cool! 88 degrees fahrenheit? The heat index in your apartment must be horrific? Feel your tub up with cool water or run the shower water on you Hope. I know one woman who every five minutes opens her freezer door for a minute or two just to get cool air to cool her down.

@1hopefulman Yes 1hopefulman lol! Wouldn't that be nice if we could bottle or bag this extreme heat for the Winter months. Our Gas and electric bills would go down! Someone needs to find a way to recycle the extreme heat I think about the time when harsh extremes in our weather will be a thing of the past. I see in my mind's eye enjoying and looking forward to all 4 seasons one day.

Thank you for your kind concern rakski. Yes there are ways to keep cool and as you've stated staying out the sun is a must. If a person has to be out in this extreme heat it would be best to find a shady tree or cooling center to combat this heat. Sunstroke and heatstroke is a major concern of health officials, especially when it comes to our dear elderly ones and young children, they need to stay cool. I've called all our elderly friends to check on them and to see if they need assistance of some sort.

I'm about like that man fanning himself. That's the way I was doing today.

Wow! I'm so sorry to hear that. Has it cooled off a little bit for you now that it's evening and dark outside??

Well I just got back from the lake. That was one way I dealt with it

Absolutely, going out by the lake definitely cools you down. It's probably a nice breeze coming off the lake. And plus it's peaceful watching the waves and sunset

90°F is nice for me. We have that heat here at noon most of the summer days. But we have only few hours with 101°F.

Unfortunately I'm in the menopause stage where 90 degrees and me don't get along

So far the forecast is 90 the highest, but that's hot for me. When we got breezes it's tolerable. I have electric fans, but trying to cut my bill, so I got my handy hand fan, I've ice cold water and pray for northerly breezes. God, help us have pleasant & safe weather. Amen.

I agree Krisstina. Another idea would be to get a spray bottle and spray yourself while holding your trusty hand fan. Or you can freeze a few bottles of water and wrap them in a towel then put the wrapped bottles of ice water on different parts of your body. That might help sis. Yes, thank goodness for those Northerly breeze gusts, they do help and make it tolerable for awhile.
