Everywhere, we saw kids as young as 2 years old playing on cellphones, tablets, laptops and computers. There are parents shouting at their child on an internet cafe, while other bought one for their kid. There are children watching over other kid's phone and there are kids who have their own phone.
How should kids be raised with all the techs around?

@Jessabuma yes but we can always have rules. I also do reward system. If they do this, I will add more time for them

@Jessabuma Yes limit but not say complete no. I pity those classmates of my son 12 years old who say he is not allowed at all. So he just watches over his classmates shoulder... Time may come that he will do it secretly

@BH0elmereen during gadget-free weekends, we try to play with what we have. Scrabbles, hide and seek, we draw, paint. That is also our quality time for them.

@raksi Oh thats another strategy. Mine is ok during weekends. 4 to 7 pm weekdays. No phones 1 week before and during exam. But i just realized with your comment that quality weekends are sacrificed on my strategy. Although, when we go out, no phones allowed.

children should be given a schedule when they should learn and when to play, technology can make them become lazy to learn and often wake up late. Should be in the child's time more learning than play, because their brains are still easy to accept everything.

It seems that this problem is a worldwide problem. My daughter's school doesn't allow students to take mobile phones. At home,I limit her time with her cell phone, IPad, computer. Of course, discuss this time limit with her in advance.

@caopaopao Yes indeed... How about we need to contact them. Is it not allowed on their bags?

It's the parents' responsibility how to manage their children these days. I saw a lot of parents who would immediately hand their gadgets to their children as soon as they cry or when their children couldn't sit still. I see this as a lazy way of parenting.

That is not right thing to do. I gave their gadgets but with conditions. Time of playing or chore to do.

Kids needs to run around outside interacting with other kids than inside eyes glued to a screen.

Gadgets are taking away so many valuable things from a human life especially a golden carefree childhood. I am getting so many disturbed cases of relationship and addiction of gadgets in my counselling sessions all pointing towards uncontrolled usage of technology. I fear that it might turn into one of the biggest human crisis in coming times.
