Are you gay/lesbian/straight ? What makes you one?

I am bi and in my community, have met many women who didn't know they were gay or bi (or at least weren't sure) for many years. Some having married men and raised children before finally coming to terms with who they were. I have always known I like women, for the most part, but there was a period during childhood and my early teens where I just wasn't entirely sure. I suspected I was bisexual, but had very little experience to confirm it. I knew I was attracted to women as well as men but as I knew very little about homosexuality and bisexuality, had no idea what to make of those attractions. As I got into my later teens, it became more apparent. I think this is partly out of the natural maturing of body and mind.
