NO REGRETS?

Yesterday a dear friend and myself met up after quite a number of years and spoke about developments that happened in each others' lives. We spoke about what our dreams were (I wanted to be a physician by the way but due to arthritis from a very young age was unable to do so). He's a play-writer but wanted to be a architect. Although none of had have any regrets of how things turned out in our lives, I personally was left after the conversation with thoughts of what might have been. QUESTION: Do you have personal regrets of things which you could have accomplished? As always, looking forward to the diverse views and opinions.

There's always time my friend - ask me - I had the same problem and then one day I just shut my eyes and said right, I'm going for it

Wow, that's extraordinary - and unusual if you don't mind me saying so. You meant to tell me you have everything in life you could ever have wished for?

@notewise777 I think many of us have regrets. I wish I would have been encouraged when I was young and helped to figure out what I wanted to do when I grow up then maybe I would have learned things earlier and have become something I wanted to be instead of having to do it all myself and learn when I am older.

@notewise777 In my case I had just my grandfather that loved me unconditionally and no one else. It is very hard and I am jealous now when I so from support families give each other here in Jerusalem and how they are so proud of their children and grandchildren how they turned out. I would have given anything for that from my family instead making me feel I was worthless and no good.

@Hannihar I hear what you are saying and I agree completely - I guess, that's why our mission in life simply has to be to try and give our children what we could not afford to have ourselves

@Hannihar It is sad - yet my friend, if I have to be honest with you - I have a firm believe in life that everything not only happens for a reason and a season - it happens because that was the way it was intended to be. You and you alone will always know your self-worth and in that we all need to find our own happiness

Yeah I have regrets for not doing everything I can to achieve my dream and for giving up on it. I wanted to become a police officer when I was a kid and ended up being an engineer. Not bad anyway...but I guess there are things that no matter how much we planned. . if it's not meant for us then it's not. Better plans are on HIS hands.

@renicemae Totally agree with you my friend - sometimes we need to accept that fate has dictated the course we have to travel

Hi Heinrich. Well, there were but I realized it is a good thing I did not accomplish them because my life would not be the kind of life I am enjoying today. So I think there is also a purpose.

Yes Louise, somehow I tend to agree with you - Fate has laid out our journeys hence, we can only enjoy it thoroughly.

@notewise777 Thank you, Heinrich. That is true. All our actions will lead us to where we are supposed to be. How are you?
