Good Morning! Now What to Have for Breakfast?

I didn't go out in the high, humid temps for two days and so I wasn't able to pick up more cereal. I also discovered the bread I liked for breakfast was all gone. Help! It was way too hot for oatmeal and I was even out of honey so breakfast wasn't looking promising. My old car has no air conditioning and our good car was gone as my husband was busy and needed it. I only have eggs once and a while, so I was really lost as to what to have for breakfast?? I ended up having crackers and cheese and even had jam on one of them as well. (My mother used to eat jam with cheese sometimes probably due to her French background). In the end it wasn't a bad breakfast but I often don't know what to have to start off my day and am very happy when I have good muffins or oatmeal biscuits or cookies. Tasty and filling, it's a quick solution. Smoothies are great too and very healthy- but you have to plan ahead to have fresh fruit on hand. Coffee- I always have- but it's what to eat with it that gets to me sometimes. What do you like to have for breakfast and what's your second choice? Pixabay free image

My first choice is eggs. Second would be a banana/nut combination I mix up in my Ninja with some cashew or almond milk. Very good.

I do live croissants but like to buy them from a place that specializes. Grocery stores don't make them very well so it's hard to get them all the time. Like English muffins too.

Bacon. Anything with bacon on it, in it, or with it. And then more bacon on the side. Oh, did I mention that I like bacon? Because bacon. Bacon, bacon, bacon. I made some bacon for breakfast this morning, but before I had a chance to eat any, I realized I was out of coffee. So I ran to the grocery store down the street to get a bag of coffee. Mind you, I didn't eat the bacon before I left, and so that one bag of coffee ended up being $115 worth of groceries. Never go to the grocery store on an empty stomach. I am now the proud owner of Aisle 4.

@MarymargII Saying I like bacon is an understatement. I'm surprised I haven't invested in a cattle farm, or bacon processing plant or something like that yet. I could become a millionaire just based on my bacon consumption alone!

@moffittjc haha! Just make sure you eat a lot of tomatoes and citrus as its supposed to counter the effects! Bacon still rules though!

@MarymargII - Yes, our preferred breakfast choices are very similar. I agree that cereal always feels good. I guess it could be classified as a "comfort food." LOL

Oatmeal is always good. I love it in biscuits, hot oatmeal, granola, and whatever for breakfast.

Growing up I would make two slices of toast, then put a slice of cheese between them and stick it in the microwave for 15 seconds. I wasn’t allowed to use the stove, so it was my version of grilled cheese for breakfast . If you do get more cereal, something weird that I like is tuna (with the mayo) mixed with corn flakes, and if your feeling adventurous some taco seasoning.

Now that is getting a little too weird- but I would imagine the crunch would be good. I used to be a real tuna lover but have gone off it a bit lately.
