Being bitter, is it better?

On our class today, my co-student told us her story on how she got 2 kids and never marry the father of the kids... she told us that their relationship don't just work because the man is a mama's boy... she has her reasons. Me, i am a single-mom by choice, married for 13 years and ended it (unofficially) beacause my husband is very irresponsible. There, we are both solo parents. Then, she started telling our younger co-students to never get marry or never believe a man, because a man will definitely show its true skin when you live together. I disagreed to her. There is still a true and lasting relationship. I told her to stop being bitter and there's no need for her to scare those young women. Maybe, relationships for us did not work but for others, there still a road to "forever".
For us who failed on our first relationship, is being bitter better?
How about you, do you think the same way as my co-student?

Bitterness when it comes to a bad relationship comes over. I can't blame her for she must have hurt so much.

@JustBhem yeah, true.. but what i am against was when she told the young ones to never believe in happy marriage. And recently, i only found out the she came from a broken family. I was really saddened when i heard her confession

Yes, i agree with you bhem. She could have just told those young ladies to be careful in choosing a life partner.

Each story is a different one and each experience is unique. She should not be telling that.

There are some good men out there. My husband is a good man. We have been married 30 years. He is fun to be around and has always treated me well & with respect. So, do not give up hope. Good men can be found.

i am grateful for the father of my son because he made me a complete woman. other than that, it was good riddance when i sent him out of our house.

I've never been married, only engaged - and it didn't work out. At least I found out.
I tend to agree with your co-student. I think I'm hexed when it comes to men. There is no happy-forever with a man for me.
However I think it would be best to be wise who I say this to. Maybe I say this in front of someone who is happy with their boyfriend, or newly married, or going to get married. In those cases it would be rude, mean. And I do hope there is a happy forever for others.
