Are those more fancy toothbrushes any better?

There are soany variants of the humble toothbrush these days - zigzag bristles, round bristles, funny shapes, charcoal Colors, etc. Are any of them any better than the normal toothbrushes?

That's exactly what they do. Create a few fancy features and then market it like it's scientific and better.

What do you consider "normal" toothbrushes? My toothbrush has crisscross bristles.

I have used few of them, except for the hardness of the bristles more or less they are same as normal tooth brushes!

I prefer the medium hardness. The soft ones don't seem very good.

@pitstop , I agree , I too like them as it it gives a feeling of some grip and friction on the teeth!

I prefer the medium ones. The soft ones don't seem to clean well and last much shorter.

The basic ones are cheaper. Some of the more fancy ones are soooooo expensive.

Innovation makes their product to be slightly unique than others which could attrack more buyers who always tend to change their taste. This is basically what i learnt in my economic class this morning. Still fresh though.
