We went to a doctor for my daughter's check-up. When we get there, I saw children are waiting for their queue. Some are irritated, some are quiet, some are roaming around. But I noticed one patient who is sleeping and his lips are turned white and with hi-fever. Why these nurse or assistant are not attending this child condition since he need immediate attention. Poor child he still need to wait for his queue to see the doctor.

I have seen on TV medical shows where patients had to sit a long time for their turn to see the doctor. Something should have been done about that patient.

I agree with you but they did not consider it emergency. So they have to wait for the queue.

@Jfronda82 Of course, all of them needs help. In Medicine, there exist a system called triage. The doctors usually use it when there is a disaster, multiple accident or just many patients at the same time in the emergency. This system hepls to classify which patients need help first based on the urgency and so they reduce a bit the queue. Otherwise, they may need more professionals to attend all the patients, if the queue is something normal.

@Jfronda82 I know in our country when you go to the emergency room, there will be enough doctors to look at you immediately. You rarely wait there. You will attended right away. If ever you would wait maybe for a couple of minutes only but if the patient is really serious, they would at you right away.

That should be treated as an emergency. I hope the child was assisted in good time

But they did not consider it emergency. They just ask if the boy takes paracetamol before coming the hospital and they said yes. Then after that waited for their queue.

That is sad. He should be given immediate preference looking at his condition.
