Earning money with photos vs blogging

It is said that blogging and selling photos will earn you huge income if you do it correctly
If you were to choose, what do you prefer between selling photos and blogging
Blogger make $1000+ per month same with photographers especially if they get accepted and sell their photos on big sites like istock

I think that I would choose blogging because I love to write. I also like to take photos, but I think that I would enjoy blogging the most.

All the photo stock sites do insist on DSLR photos only - mobile phone cameras are just not good enough!

That seems like a lot of money earned with photos. I'm not a good photographer, so I'll stick to writing.
