It may be a bit boring but it may explain how I became so Lazy today.
0 yo - born with lazy gene in Hong Kong as the youngest child
16 yo - couldn't survive from local education system, begged my dad to let me go to US as an exchange student, ended up living in Utah with no particular reason.
19 yo - Thanks to how exciting Utah was, I got my first degree without any distraction at all!!!
21 yo - finished my master's degree in Baltimore, an extreme opposite version of Salt Lake City.
21 - 25yo - returned to Hong Kong and worked for some giant MNC as a consultant.
26 yo - failed in romance relationship; quit my job, escaped to Japan, became a sales
27 yo - got married with a guy I met in the same company, bought an apartment
29 yo - my son was born
30 yo - Paid off my mortgage
31 yo - quit my job, start a company with my husband
32 yo - my daughter was born
33 yo - Got tired/bored and become super lazy and hope for the best

@Jessabuma Thanks! I just think I have already went thru the boring/standard life and time to start doing something different or challenge typical mindset in the society. Haven't figure out what to do next yet, but sure will share it in the future.

umm...
doesn't sound *too* boring
you did a lot...
for me it's...
0yo - born as the youngest child. with another 5 brothers and sister!
8yo - started to develop depression and ADD.
12yo - after a HARD time at school i went to boarding school.
14yo - Boarding school wasn't better.. got into a small school for ADD kids. was on and off.
16yo - i decided it's just not for me. left everything and didn't do anything for a year or so.
17yo - gotten into riding mountain biking and it was pretty much most of my outside activity. still depressed.
18yo - still at home.., didn't do much at life. feel like wasted 18 years of my life (kinda did) and.. hoping for the best
I guess your life is not too bad at all... won't mind changing it

@Ntan822 Thanks for sharing and being supportive! Wow you have an uneasy life and what a big family you have! I am glad that we are both the youngest. Do you think ADD truly exist? Can being active and easily distracted just a personality trait, rather than a disorder? Sure society likes to label to make sure everyone fit in. My son is very hyper active but he is only 4 and I just think that's the way he is. Sometime I think the education system is forcing students to become a mono-type so that the youngster can fit into another society system after they graduate so that people can go on with their boring lives. It doesn't really encourage creativity or provide actual practical living skill.

@Supportazy I agree for most part.
I do think people are way too eager to label when it comes to disorders.
Yea. Your kid is.. A kid! Everything is amazing and fun and possible. How wouldn't you be hyper?
there is a huge different between ADD or ADHD (hyperactive). ADD in my opinion (and from my experience with it) is more emotional. Can develop anxiety and depression. Probably sit aside. Not much for friends... Pretty lonely overall.
ADHD - this kid can be the king of the class. Doesn't mind attention and like the spotlight. Can't sit for a sec and need small class to focus and will be helpful if have 1v1 with a private teacher.
Obviously different people - different experiences.
When this behavior goes on to teenage and you see it's really effecting on the kid I think it's needed to be treated.
How? Well.. You can take him to a psychologist, have him checked with all kinda tests and a psychiatrist for medication.
What is best? To be honest.. I can't say for sure. And I did all of that.
I went to the psychologist when i was about 11to12. Was helpful. Made me more understanding of myself and why I felt as I felt.
I also took all kinda medications. Ritalin was really bad for me and made me depressed. Then I tried some more but I can't tell if I felt any change... I wouldn't give my kids any medication of this kind.
I think when a kid feel he is different then other kids and he just "doesn't get them" and can't socialize then he needs help. He need to understand that's OK that he is different and keep the way he is. Don't depressed yourself! When hell get older he'll know when to slow down .
Oh wow... Didn't realized I wrote so much
Sorry.. Hope it'll make sense.

@Ntan822 thanks for sharing! It is very helpful. Sorry to hear what you went thru. Have you seen the netflix movie, Take Your Pill?
It talks about the over prescription and side effects of Ritalin.
"Adderall, side effects may include being awesome at everything." But at what cost? Take Your Pills, streaming only on Netflix March 16th. Watch Take Your Pi...

I would like to make a guess here. You are not lazy. You are an intelligent person that just did not find what you really want to o with your life yet. You are very young still. Is I close or far off?

That's not crazy lazy at all. In fact, you have reached many milestones being where you are at in life now.
