My best friend is now homeless ...

My best friend got kicked out of her house because her dad bequeathed the property to her brother right before he died. One of the flaws of some regions in my country is that a girl doesn't inherit from her father. Now she's homeless and has nowhere to go. Yesterday I called and told her to stay at my place until the end of summer vacation. Worse than that, her brother is a lawyer and is supposed to stand for the weak and not against them !!!

What kind of brother does she have? It says in Proverbs 18:24 "One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." You are that good friend.

That is just sad and horrible. The brother should be helping her. Those money and house won't last long anyways.

I agree with you. I hope he realizes what he has done before it's too late.

Throwing his sister out of the house is a terrible and mean thing to do. That is no way to treat a sister.

I'm very sorry for your friend but you said her father bequeathed his property to her brother's name and again you're saying girls don't inherit from her parents, which means they don't have any right on parent's property.I would like to know which cause make her deprived from her parental property.

Social norms. Both my government and my religion allow girls to inherit from their parents. But most people don't care about that !

So even if they are siblings, he cannot let her stay there? Is it okay for the borther for his sibling to go himeless just because a girl cannot inherit from their father? Omg. That is so rude of him.

She could not find an arrangement with her brother the time to find another home ? Nobody should be left without a roof, if he stands for the weak, he should apply his principles as a lawyer in real life...

He must be a nasty person to throw his own sister out of the house. That's an old out outdated custom. You are very kind to offer her your place.
