Did you reimburse your 'destroyed' money or did you use it again?

We were discussing when a friend's dog ate his money, and how he wish there was a sort of insurance for things like these. So apparently there is, somewhat and it's called Mutilated Currency Division in the US. Now he's wondering to give the money as it is...if he manages to get it from his dog poop and all hahaha How about you? Do you have a case when your money got 'mutilated' and the government manages to reimburse? Or did you even manage to use it again?

Yes, in India Reserve Bank of India replaces the soiled and torn currency, They have some guidelines and our currency falls within those guidelines they will definitely changes it! Thanks!

yes we can change damaged currencies here, paper bill and coins too.
