Once it's gone, is it gone?

There was a post I did a few minutes ago, and apparently I accidentally clicked off the page. Some of you save your discussions so that doesn't hapoen. I don't want to post that sgain, and it's not like it was important. Do you rewrite your lost discussions? Or do you write about losing that discussion like I just did? Or are you that unicorn who has never lost even one discussion?

I do sometimes re-write it. It all depends on the length of the discussion. Sometimes it's something I've written and really liked and don't think I can emulate again.

It has happened to all of us at one time or another. Usually mine are not long, so it doesn't bother me too much to re write them.

I too had a post deleted accidentally by myself. But since I have a copy of it in my word document, it was just easy for me to copy and paste it again here. Also pictures from my phone cannot be accepted here unless I resize it to a small one. My phone has a very big picture resolution that is why.

If you didn't get to post a thought, did you really ever have it?

I always type my discussions offline and save them in a text file, so I never lost a discussion.

Even when it appears to have disappeared, I look at my discussions to make sure. In the past I double posted a time or two, thinking a discussion had disappeared.

I usually copy and paste so I don't lose them but it's happened before. Sometimes I re-write it and sometimes I just let it go. I'm sorry that happened to you.

I write in MS Word and then copy and paste. So I don't lose any post by some quirk of the site - siva

Sometimes I do that but it's far different from the one I have first.

I MAY tend to rewrite something if it is lost. But it just depends. It rarely happens that something gets lost though, which is a good thing I suppose. Either way.

if it's long i may copy it just in case. especially because it takes me a lot of time and i don't want to redo it. if i lose it i can make a new post with the same subject but i'll probably cut it and make it shorter.
