Lasagna For Dinner

After a stormy start to the day the sun came out and it's been beautiful. I did go out for awhile and it felt good to get out of the house.
As the day flew by neither my daughter nor I felt like cooking. So we decided on getting take-out from our local Italian restaurant.
My choice was lasagna and my daughter got chicken parmesan. Both dinners came with salad so I'm happy to say that I am full and dinner was delicious.
We haven't treated ourselves to dinner in awhile so that made it extra good tonight.
Now we're just catching up on some tv until our favorite show Big Brother comes on.

@Marilynda1225 well, in Germany it is very popular as we have a lot of Italians living there. Besides having lots of Italian restaurants.

I did little else besides sleep today.
In between sleeps I came on the site.
Not a very exciting way to spend a day, but its what I did.
I know that my body needs that rest to heal, but I know how hard it will be to get out of this, but right now, no other choice.

It will probably take awhile for you to get better but dont rush it. Healing takes time

@Marilynda1225 May be what takes more time is to make the lasagna sheets, for the rest is not a very difficult work. I always prepare 8 portions when I make, so I can freeze the extra.

I love lasagna but it's a lot of work. Usually I have plenty extra to keep in the freezer but I haven't made it in awhile.

Sounds like a good dinner. Yes, sometimes take out is the best choice. I know being on my own I try to eat what I have but sometimes it is tempting just to order from take out. Of course, for me the food lasts about 2 -3 days,.

I am glad you enjoyed your lasagna. I am not a big fan of it but I will sometimes eat it. I've never actually made lasagna myself, I might change my mind if I have the opportunity to make it for myself.
A food is always a treat when it's been awhile since you've had it.
